My Project to identify a meme and method to focus on an action to destroy the ability of DAVID MISCAVIGE to entice and keep members.
Most baby boomer high school students were exposed to Brave New World, Animal Farm, Citizen Kane, and 1984 as required reading in the fevered anti-Communist furor of the McCarthy era. That is why APPLE Inc through Steve Jobs chose the 1984 meme for the MAC advertisement that cast IBM as Big Brother. The universal acceptance of 1984 as a common experience was fundamental. The thought behind 1984's NEWSPEAK - Ignorance is Strength, War is Peace, Freedom is Slavery and Big Brother is Watching You was almost universally known.
Since 1984 was written in 1949 it can be assumed that LRH was very familiar with the ideas proposed in that book. In matter of fact the parallels between Scientology & 1984 have been raised on

In 1982 the original tapes from LRH given on 6 December 1952 on:

However, note that all of the words in italics have been seamlessly deleted from the current “Golden Age of Knowledge” version of the lecture and accompanying transcript. This was done by David Miscavige and anything that can possibly promote the rift between Miscavige and LRH purists is a good thing.
The parallels between Newspeak and the confused insanity of those who have been trapped by their zeal to 'save humanity and the planet' are just too accurate to be ignored. An example of IASpeak like Newspeak:

The responses to this YouTube entry were very positive for you and some 6,800 views later this has been quite effective. But has there been any follow up to this meme?
It is quite easy to use the Soviets totalitarian ideals now obviously a part of the new Russia as an example of Big Brother. The problem arises when people focus on Russia as if it were unique. Here in the USA the revelations of Edward Snowden - now ironically trapped in Moscow - show that Big Brother is not limited to Russia or the old USSR.
Here's my take on the situation and the idea to focus on the 1984 memes to distill the evil of Scientology to a hard-hitting focused meme that can promote action. The Brainwashing idea is fraught with problems - misunderstood and difficult to prove.
But the idea of Newspeak is quite accurate since Scientology does have a unique language that can be easily seen, and the key elements of 1984 mind control are all perfect examples of real Scientology in fact as well as effect.
IGNORANCE is STRENGTH: - obvious since members of the organization are effectively prohibited from even viewing or reading anything not approved by the RTC or IAS.
FREEDOM is SLAVERY: this is almost too perfect when those who work for SEA ORG and on staff are required to put in 80 to 100 hours a week for nominal compensation. - Bad food, sub-par accommodations, and some 10 to 50 cents an hour in pay
WAR is PEACE: the Fair Game approach to the destruction of enemies can easily be seen as a form of all-out war against detractors.
BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING YOU; clearly, the RTC and IAS through the machinations of DM have become a perfected exercise in far more than surveillance. The E-meter lie detection coupled with the KR's of the snitch culture is an open well-documented fact of life for members

I continue to favor the idea that creative people can possibly come up with a very direct simple relatable meme that should be an effective tool for rallying support and saving potential victims from the criminal David Miscavige.
Perhaps you might run this thought past your supporters in the ex-Scientologist community - particularly someone like Jeff Hawkins and Paul Haggis.
I would be moved to donate to a fund with the specific goal of creating a video scripted by Paul Haggis and designed by Jeff Hawkins that is somewhat related to the famous APPLE vs IBM ad
Scientology = 1984 mind control - that's quite obvious to me so I think it would be easy to get across to a vast cross-section of the public.
As the answer to WHAT IS SCIENTOLOGY, this is a key concept. Once you or any of your fellow critics begin to explain the complicated reality of Scientology you find yourselves producing 100's of YouTube videos, 2 hour long GOING CLEAR documentaries with 40 hours of AFTERMATH programming and 50 books of hundreds of pages each.
Most of these are wonderful testimonials to the damage done to good people whose only sin was a desire to make the world a better place. I do not denigrate those efforts in any way shape or form.
But taking the next step to capitalize on the current negative perception brought about by all this effort requires something different. An easy to comprehend meme that sticks in the consciousness of a public with a 60 second 140 Twitter character attention span.

That's my thought for the time being for your consideration. I see a possibility that more creative minds than mine might find a way to promote this meme - and I firmly believe that something like this could become a rallying point where many in the public would get behind a well-laid plan to make this widely known.
This will be impossible for the Scientologists to combat since they are willfully ignorant slaves without the freedom to refuse to war against family and friends they have been required to label SP or PTS.
